Efficacy and Tolerability of Cilazapril (CLZ) in Hypertensive Patients (PTS) with Chronic Renal Failure (CRF)

96 hypertensive pts with CRF were treated in a multicenter, open label study with CLZ once daily at 0.5 to 2.5mg if cr cl=10–20 ml/min, at 1 to 5mg if cr cl=21–50 ml/min. After 8 weeks of CLZ, pre-dose BP significantly decreased in both Grs, while renal hemodynamic parameters improved (GFR and RBF increased, RVR and proteinuria decreased) in Gr 2 more significantly than in Gr 1.Side effects were negligible.
