Vehicle roof for refrigerated commercial vehicles

2007
The present invention relates to a vehicle roof (100) for chilled goods vehicles, in particular semi-trailer with the front side attached cooling unit (1), wherein the vehicle roof (100) covers the vehicle interior completely in the installed position and in one piece consists of a self-supporting sandwich plate member (an upper cover layer 4), a central, foamed core layer (5) and a bottom cover layer (6), wherein at least one pipe (7, 8, 9) is embedded for a coolant in the core layer, with a secondary-refrigerant evaporator (20 , can be charged with coolant) which is to be removed from the refrigeration unit on the vehicle roof. In such a vehicle roof, a very high heat insulation and efficiency in terms of installation costs is achieved in that the core layer (5) in Nassschaumverfahren between the cover layers (4, 6) is incorporated as a monolithic block of foam that the pipeline (7, 8, 9 ) is designed as a continuous, joints free strand of a connecting portion for connecting the pipe with the cooling unit (1) to the end connecting with the secondary-refrigerant evaporator, and that the pipeline (7, 8, 9) over its entire length - apart from the is zugangslos foamed into the core layer (5) - connecting regions.
