The novel fluorinated vitamin D3 analog, 24-homo-26, 26, 26, 27, 27, 27-hexafluoro-1α, 22, 25-trihydroxyvitamin D3, was prepared utilizing the ene reaction of hexafluoroacetone for the construction of the side chain.
