Dual complementary planar antennas for highly isolated Tx/Rx UWB systems
2013
Recent advances in wideband impulse technology, low power communication along with unlicensed band have enabled ultra-wide band (UWB) as a leading technology for future applications. This paper outlines an Impulse Radio Ultra Wideband (IR-UWB) application focusing on the design of the antennas and especially on the excellent isolation between Tx and Rx antennas operating on a same PCB board. The decoupling is obtained thanks to Babine t's principle. All these studies were performed for the low band FCC, from 3 to 5 GHz (specifications: S pp pq <;-30dB with p= 1; 2 and q= 1; 2).
