A variable frequency vibration absorber with a connection plate, mounted on the connection plate on an elastomer spring damping mass and an at least partially delimited by the elastomer spring cavity which can be acted upon in order to vary the natural frequency of the damper with a pressure, characterized in that a support for the elastomer spring (3) is provided on which the elastomer spring (3) supported to varying degrees at different pressures in the cavity (6) transverse to the direction of the distance (7) of the absorber mass (5) of the connection plate (2).
