The study of Low dose of Paclitaxel on radiosensitivity of human cervical cancer cell line Hela under normal and hypoxic growth conditions

2010
Objective To investigate the radiation sensitizing effect of low does of paclitaxel on human cervical cancer cell line Hela under normal and hypoxia growth conditions. Methods The hypoxia model of Hela、Cell radiotherapy、 MTT assay was used to analyze cell proliferation rate. Results Different concentrations of PTX could inhibit the proliferation of Hela cells under different growth conditions, and it has dose-dependent effect. In the state of hypoxia,Hela proliferation was significantly higher than the normal state(P0.05).Low does of PTX(1×10-3 mg/L) had a positive effect on the radiosensitivity of Hela under both normal and hypoxia growth conditions, the growth rate were (19.67±5.06)% and(12.38±3.55)% respectively(P0.05);Conclusion Hypoxic cells have a certain resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs.PTX could inhibit the proliferation of Hela cells under different growth conditions, and it has dose-dependent effect.Low does of PTX could be used as a radiation sensitizer for Hela under both growth conditions.
