Cogging Torque Characteristics of Permanent Magnet Direct Current Disc Motors

The problem of cogging torque of permanent magnet DC disc motors is investigated in this paper.The Maxwell tensor method is used to analyze positioning cogging torque.The cogging torque generation mechanism is described.The finite element software Ansoft is used to study cogging torque characteristics.An optimum method is found to weaken the cogging torque of permanent magnet disc motors.
