The eigenvalue and eigenvector problem for the casting of engine crankcase and heat flow problem for the casting of crankcase are discussed in this article. The solid model of the crankcase and then its finite element model are obtained. First five eigenvalues, their eigenvec­tors and corresponding dynamic stress intensity distribution, the heat flow problem for the casting of engine crankcase are considered. Il. 6. Bibliogr. 3 names.
