Intensity calibration of an FT-IR spectrometer by heavy-ion ERDA

Abstract Elastic recoil detection analysis (ERDA) as a standard-free technique, can be used to calibrate other analytical techniques. Ion layer gas reaction (ILGAR) is a new method to prepare ZnO window extension layers of thin film solar cells. The Zn(OH) 2 content of these devices is routinely determined by IR spectroscopy. Therefore, an IR spectrometer was calibrated on the base of ERDA data to obtain more precise results.
