Histological research on the gall bladder of Alligator sinensis

The wall of gallbladder and bile duct all consisted of mucosa, submucosa,musculary and serosa. The surface of mucosa of gallbladder was smooth. Epithelia of the mucosa were composed of simple tall columnar cells which contained a large number of transparent secretory granules and was strong positive in PAS-reaction. There were a lot of regular folds at the surface of mucosa of bile duct. Epithelia of the mucosa were made up of simple columnar cells at the top there were some secretory granules, tranparent and positive in PAS-reaction. There were plenty of pigmentation in the submucosa of bile duct.
