Contribuição à Delimitação das Sub-Regiões de Miranda-Abobral e Aquidauana do Pantanal

Considering the inconsistency present in the literature about the delimitation of the subregions of Pantanal and also the premise that to conserve is necessary knowledge, the present work aimed to contribute to the delimitation of the Pantanals of Miranda-Abobral and Aquidauana. To do this, have been used different datasets, such as structural lineaments extracted from Landsat images, multispectral images (also landsat) and the hidrography (obtained from SRTM digital elevation model). Through the analysis of the lineaments and the hydrography, overlaying the multispectral images were outlined the limits of the Pantanals of Miranda-Abobral and Aquidauana. Analyzing the lineaments and the hidrography, it can be stated that the structural patterns found in the Pantanals of Miranda-Abobral and Aquidauana rules the hidrography, which, by its time, determines the structure of the landscape, influencing the distribution of the flood in the region and thus strongly conditioning the distribution of fauna and flora.
