Individual sensitivity to the cerebrovascular antiserotonin action of propranolol and tolfenamic acid

1995
: Experimentally, metisergide largely prevents and attenuates the development of cerebrovascular constrictive responses evoked by serotonin. Propranolol and tolphenamic acid alleviate decreases in the volumetric velocity of brain blood flow, which are induced by serotonin in half of the total number of experiments whereas in the other experiments these agents show no antiserotonin cerebrovascular properties.
