Gamma-ray pulsars and Geminga. [2CG 195+04; PSR 0540-69; PSR 1706-44; PSR0531+21; PSR 0833-45]

1993
Observed properties of [gamma]-ray pulsars are related to those of the accelerators which power their radiation. It is argued that the relatively slowly spinning Geminga is a strong [gamma]-ray source only because its magnetic dipole is more inclined than that of the more rapidly spinning Vela. This would also account for special Geminga properties including 180[degree] subpulse separation, soft X-ray spectra and intensities, and suppression of radio emission.
