Inorganic Photochemistry ‐ Then and Now

Abstract Some of the early quantitative history of inorganic photochemistry is recalled and some of the early experiences of the writer. Conceptual landmarks in the progress to the present are outlined. The role of the Italian school of photochemistry in this development is noted. The current state of the field is discussed briefly along with some predictions.
