Investigation of the regularities of the transition probabilities for a Kr atom in an alternating electric field

2006
Theoretical investigation of the dependence of the transition probabilities on frequency and strength of an circular polarized electric field was carried out for a Kr atom. The number of regularities in the behaviour of these probabilities were revealed and investigated. It was shown that the transition probabilities for a Kr atom in a high-frequency discharge have cubic-polynomial dependence on the electric field strength. It was found, that an increase in the frequency of the electric field leads to a decrease in the splitting of the spectral lines in the electric field and decreases a sensibility of the transition probabilities to the electric-field strength. An anisotropy of the probabilities for transitions between Stark levels was investigated.© (2006) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
