Rock-steam reactions at a south midway-sunset heavy oil reservoir

A six-month fluid monitoring project was started in March, 1989 at the MOCO Monarch Anticlinal Area Steam-Drive Pilot in the South Midway-Sunset Field, Kern Co., California. One goal of the project was to use the produced fluids to determine the geochemical reactions occuring in the reservoir and to estimate reservoir temperature trends. The field interpretations were calibrated through autoclave experiments
