Acúmulo de Massa de Matéria Seca e Desempenho Produtivo de Girassol (Helianthus annuus L.) no Recôncavo Baiano

This study aimed to evaluate the dry matter over time and yield performance of sunflower Embrapa 122, cultivated at the end of the rainy season at the Experimental Station Cassava and Tropical Fruits in the municipality of Conceicao do Almeida, BA. The evaluations started 21 days after emergence (DAE), with collection of five plants at regular intervals of 15 days, which were separated into fractions of root, leaves, stem and chapter. They were dried in an oven at 65 ° C ± 5 until the constant weight, and then weighted to determine dry matter in a precision scale. For the productive performance was evaluated the diameter of the chapter, number of achenes, and seeds' yield (kg ha -1 ). It was conclude that the maximum accumulation of dry matter occurred in leaves at 75 DAE and 60 DAE in roots and stems, with achenes' productivity of 775.6 kilograms ha -1 .
