Optimizing drop tests of high-ductility pipe steel

Methodological aspects of drop tests for high-ductility pipe steel are discussed. The basic advantages and disadvantages of various methods of assessing the test results are noted. Recommendations are made for the optimization of the test conditions so as to obtain more objective results.
