Biomechanics of the Spine and Materials Employed in Vertebroplasty, Kyphoplasty, and Augmentation Techniques

The aim of this chapter is to describe the changes in spine biomechanics of patients with osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fractures (VCFs) and to investigate the main features of filler materials employed for vertebral body augmentation procedures.
