External interference avoidance scheme with sub-band hopping in smart grid

2012
The external interference and larger number of UEs are the main problems in the wireless communications networks of smart grid. A fast scheduling mechanism is proposed based on cluster instead of UE. All UEs in the cluster are assigned to the RBs with fixed relative position in the sub-band, and they will switch their working channels when their cluster's sub-band re-scheduled. Then the band hopping pattern is designed to match the feature of smart grid. The simulation results show that our proposed interference avoiding scheme dramatically reducing the cost of signaling overhead.
