A large scale access-control list for IoT security comprising embedded IP-core and DDR DRAM

2016
A large scale access-control list (ACL) comprising of 2K-entry times 512 bit-key is reported. That ACL consists of embedded IP-core on SoC/FPGA and external DDR DRAM for having further entry size. Those inexpensive components are dedicated to low-cost industrial sensor network and IoT security. Unlike conventional TCAM-base in routers, plural hash codes with DRAM take place of search in this paper's ACL, which is effective for power saving as well. Verified prototype design on Xilinx Kintex-7 platform indicates over 10Gbps performance.
