Dynamic Analysis of Engine Crankshaft Based on ANSYS and ADAMS

Combining VPT with FEA,this paper builds a virtual prototype of crankshaft and link mechanism of a engine by Pro/ENGNEER and ADAMS.Based on the virtual prototype,ADAMS is used to do a kinematics and dynamic simulation to get dynamic loads on the crankshaft.At last,through the interface between ANSYS and ADAMS,the peak loads are applied on the FEA model of crankshaft.The paper accomplishes the finite element analysis for the crankshaft and finds its dangerous parts to offer references for crankshaft design.
