Polyvinyl chloride with improved impact strength

PURPOSE: To obtain a polyvinyl chloride containing an impact modifier which is resistant to yellowing and has improved dispersibility and stability by incorporating the impact modifier comprising a methyl methacrylate-butadiene-styrene copolymer and a specified compound into polyvinyl chloride. CONSTITUTION: An impact modifier is a composition comprises a methyl methacrylate-butadiene-styrene copolymer and a compound expressed by a formula, (in which R 1 and R 2 separately represent 1-4C alkyl radicals; R 3 and R 4 separately represent H and 1-4C alkyl radicals or a 4'-hydroxyl-2'-R 2 -5'-R 1 - phenyl), wherein the content of the compound of the formula is about 0.01-5 wt.%. Polyvinyl chloride is incorporated with bout 1-30 wt.% of the impact modifier of the composition. COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
