Particulate air pollution and visibility over Calgary: Final report. RMD report No. 80/2
1990
The terms of reference underlying this study were: to review aerosol and particulate air pollution research literature relevant to Alberta; to investigate particle size distribution in ambient air over Calgary in different seasons; to relate the particle size distribution to visual range; to validate the optically determined particle size distribution with a mechanical particle size distribution technique; to study the influence of Chinook on particulate size distribution; to investigate correlations of NOx, coefficient of haze (COH), total suspended particulates, and to integrate nephelometer measurement for specific situations. Includes recommendations.
