Tumor associated antigen RCAS1 and malignant pleural effusion

2013
Receptor-binding cancer antigen expressed on SiSo cells (RCAS1) promotes tumor cells growth and metastasis, facilitating evasion of immune surveillance, inhibiting growth and inducing angiogenesis in peripheral immunological cell, increasing the permeability of the vessels, and remodeling connective tissue. In this review,we summarize the roles of RCAS1 in the formation of malignant pleural effusion. Key words: RCAS1 ; Tumor associated antigen; Malignant pleural effusion
