Low-temperature Catalytic Oxidation of NO over MnFeO_X Catalyst

2013
MnFeOX catalyst prepared by the organic solvent method were used in low-temperature catalytic oxidation of nitrogen monoxide. The effects of water bath temperature on the removal efficiency of NOX, the water resistance capacity of the catalyst, and the effect of rare earth(Ce, and La) addition on catalytic characteristics were investigated. The results showed that the catalyst prepared by the organic solvent method had prominent low-temperature catalytic oxidation activity. In addition, the catalyst showed very good ability to resist water deactivation. The effect of water bath temperature on the catalytic oxidation efficiency of nitrogen monoxide was not obvious. The experimental results imply that doping Ce into MnFeOX can enhance catalytic oxidation activity. At 100℃, the efficiency of MnFeOX catalyst to convert NO to NO2 was over 90% under the conditions of NO 0.05%(v/v), 3% O2, and airspeed of47 770 h-1.
