The invention discloses a radioactive source safety monitoring system comprising a radioactive source pot, a positioning sensor, an inspection tour device, and a central processor. The positioning sensor is fixed to the radioactive source pot. A radiation dosage detecting element is fixedly arranged on the inspection tour device. The positioning sensor and the inspection tour device are in wireless communication connection with the central processor. The positioning sensor is fixed to the radioactive source pot and may transfer the positional information of the radioactive source pot any time in order to facilitate positioning and tracking. The radiation dosage detecting element on the inspection tour device may detect the radioactive source pot in order to transmit a detection result to the central processor to be analyzed and processed. The inspection tour device can be placed beside the radioactive source pot to perform detection or can be held by a worker regularly to perform detection, and is not required to be fixed to the radioactive source pot. Thus, the inspection tour device and the radioactive source pot are separated and are prevented from contacting such that the radioactive source safety monitoring system is not liable to damage and is easy to maintain.
