Síntomas físicos médicamente no explicados y su clasificación en el DSM-5

Patients presenting medically unexplained complaints represent a common phenomenon, with medical consequences as well as social, economic or legal implications. Despite the fact that these patients are attended by many specialists, mental health clinicians have attempted to classify them although obvious difficulties to carry out exist. In this paper we review the entity medically unexplained symptoms and the diagnostic categories in the current DSM-5 that fit more appropriately.
