The role of diarrheagenic escherichia coli in acute diarrhea of children in Karaj, Iran

Purpose: The role of diarrheagenic E. coli strains in acute diarrhea of children is controversial and there are a lot of conflicting results on this subject from different countries. In the present case-control study the role of 4 important categories of E. coli strains was investigated among children for the first time in Iran.
