Turbulent Statistic Characteristic of the Urban Boundary Layer in Tianjin

A comprehensive studies of turbulent statistic characteristic and turbulent flux have been analyzed,based on the turbulent and gradient wind,temperature and humidity data obtained from 255 m meteorological tower in Tianjin during 1~28 February 2008.The results show that both the non-dimensional standard deviations of turbulent wind component and temperature are in conformity with the Monin-Obukhov similarity theory at 40 m height under unstable condition;while only the vertical turbulent velocity obeys the Monin-Obukhov similarity theory at 220 m height.The urban complex underlying surface mainly affects the horizontal wind variances,without obvious effects on the vertical wind component.The turbulent flux and turbulent kinetic energy show obvious diurnal variations.
