Progress in Preparation of Porous Materials from Layer Silicates

Preparing porous materials from layer silicates is a new trend in the development of porous materials. The main applications of layer porous materials are described and the preparation methods are summarized, including hydrothermal synthesis, pillared method, sol-gel process and acid method at room temperature. The main preparation mechanism are discussed. Development prospects are also indicated.
