Ultrastructural study of thyroid capillaries after IR laser radiation

Laser radiation causes microscopical changes in the follicular cells relative to dose intensity. So, we have observed focal degenerative phenomena, at maximal doses, and activation of cellular function similar to the ones observed after stimulation with TSH, at minimal doses. In order to evaluate the evolution of these changes we have planned an ultrastructural study of rats thyroid capillaries treated with IR laser radiation.© (1994) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
