OVERCOMING TAXIWAY REALIGNMENT CONSTRAINTS AT LAX

2000
The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), like most large airports, faces increasing capacity demands coupled with a site that is constrained by urban development. This paper describes the Taxiway C over Sepulveda Boulevard project that has provided several examples of typical problems and obstacles met on these types of projects. The project also demonstrates many examples of engineering and planning solutions to overcome these problems.
