La composizione chimica del pastazzo di bergamotto

During the 2000 - 2001 season (from december to march), four samples of bergamot "pastazzo" were analysed. The results obtained show that this by-product contains large amounts of pectins and flavonoids (naringin and neohesperidin), and consequently is an excellent raw material for their extraction.
