Demand Analysis of Optical Remote Sensing Satellites Under the Belt and Road Initiative

2020
The Belt and Road Initiative is an open regional cooperation initiative announced by China’s new leader President Xi Jinping. In this paper, the basic situation of countries along the Belt and Road Initiative was introduced first and pointed out the problems that the relevant governments or organizations or companies to participate in the construction need to face. Secondly, the paper comprehensively analyzed the various remote sensing satellite resources currently available along the Belt and Road Initiative countries, including satellites developed independent by the relevant countries or by commercial companies. Thirdly, the application needs of space information of the countries along the relevant areas were disused, such as emergency disaster reduction, mineral resources survey, mapping, weather forecast, ocean observation, etc. Finally, this paper put forward suggestions on the construction direction of the space information service system, which provides references for the construction direction and application of space resources.
