In situ decision making behaviour of domestic tourists: A conceptual framework

2014
The main purpose of this paper is to propose a theoretical framework and to identify key factors that influence in situ tourist decision making behaviour. The framework is based on the tourism consumption system developed by Woodside and Dubelaar (2002). Particularly, it outlines the influences of trip characteristics, group influences, information and marketing activities on the decisions made at the destination regarding length of stay, travel budget, and activities, attraction, transportation and accommodation choices.
