Developing a data management plan: a checklist

This document is intended to act as a checklist to support the creation of a data management plan for a research project. Data should be actively managed: ● To ensure that data is not lost or corrupted ● To ensure the security of sensitive data ● To make data FAIR – Findable, Accessible, Interoperable 1 and Reusable – so that value may be extracted from it by others, or in collaboration with them ● To ensure that data is made open, for anyone to access, use and share, where possible
