Impacts of thermosteric and halosteric height on steric height in the Pacific Ocean

To comprehend the relations between thermosteric height,halosteric height and steric height,the thermosteric height,the halosteric height and the steric height were obtained from Simple Ocean Data Assimilation dataset(SODA)from Jan 2000 to Dec 2010.The correlations between the thermosteric height,the halosteric height and the steric height were analyzed by the application of Nonlinear Canonical Correlation Analysis(NLCCA)method.The analysis shows that there is a strong linear relation between the thermosteric height and the steric height,of which the thermosteric height has an apparent impact on the seasonal and annual variation of steric height.Moreover,the major area of impact on steric height is located on the equator zone.The halosteric height,however,has a great influence on the long-term fluctuation and the correlation is nonlinear,with the major impact area located on the south Pacific.
