Studies on steroids. CCXXXXVI: Separation of isomeric 2-hydroxy-estriol monoglucuronides and monosulfates by high-performance liquid chromatography with dual-electrode coulometric detection

1989
Separation and selective detection of 2-hydroxyestriol monoglucuronides and monosulfates by high-performance liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection on a reversed-phase column have been carried out. The effects of composition and pH of mobile phase on the capacity factor were investigated with a Develosil ODS-5 column. Four isomeric monoglucuronides of 2-hydroxyestriol appeared to be separable on this column when 0.5% sodium acetate/acetonitrile was used as a mobile phase. However, 2-hydroxyestriol 2-glucuronide and 16-glucuronide were not satisfactorily resolved
