Impact of GST on Pharmacy Retail Stores in Kanniyakumari District

Goods and services tax is a huge reform of indirect taxation in India.GST has merged most of the existing indirect taxes into single system of taxation. It is a comprehensive indirect tax on manufacture, sale and consumption of goods and services throughout India. This system creates a common national market and plays an important role in the economic development of the country. On 1stjuly 2017 GST was implemented in India andit changes all the major and minor area of all business sectors. Every retail sectors has tasted the sweet and bitter side of GST. This study is conducted to know about the impact of GST on pharmaceutical retail stores in kanniyakumari district.
