Sunlight shielding member

[Problem] To provide a sunlight shielding member that does not exhibit a red color when viewed from the front and diagonal directions and that has a high transmittance of visible light without compromising sunlight transmittance. [Solution] A sunlight shielding member is configured by stacking a first dielectric film, a first metal film, a second dielectric film, a second metal film, a third dielectric film, a third metal film, and a fourth dielectric film on a transparent substrate, wherein the first dielectric film comprises two or more dielectric layers including a layer having an refractive index of 2.4 or higher, the refractive index of the first dielectric film overall is within the range of 1.8-2.0, the optical film thickness of the second dielectric film is 165-201 nm, the optical film thickness of the third dielectric film is 147-182 nm, the optical film thickness of the fourth dielectric film is 75-120 nm, the total geometric film thickness of the first metal film, the second metal film, and the third metal film is 30-40 nm, and the geometric film thickness of the second metal film with respect to the geometric film thickness of each of the first metal film and the third metal film is within the range of 1.01-1.55.
