Decomposition of complexes of decaborane(12) with nitrogenous bases

1. Decomposition of hydrazinediamminedecaborane(12) leads to the evolution of hydrazine; knetically, this process is diffusion-limited. 2. The authors have analyzed the IR absorption spectrum of hydrazinediamminedecaborane(12), and suggest that the hydrazine molecule in hydrazinediamminedecaborane(12) is linked to the boron-nitrogen-hydrogen fragment by weak bonds — possibly hydrogen bonds.
