Live Demonstration:A Plug-and-Sense Smart Sensor System

The PaS (Plug and Sense) smart sensor system utilizes the core technologies of embedded software and hardware design, low power technique, machine learning calibration method to complete a miniature sensor system. The PaS system supports smart sensing of humidity, ultraviolet index, and alcohol concentration with a machine learning model. Users can directly plug the PaS system into their smartphones (iOS and Android are supported) and start sensing the environment immediately, no extra settings are required. The PaS system can thus eliminate the problems of non-portability, inaccurate sensing, and battery power nuisances. In this demonstration, a plug-and-sense smart sensor system with the mobile App is presented. With the hardware and software support of the power measurement instrument and USB protocol analyzer, users can explore how the PaS system works with the mobile phone in low power mode to meet the restrict power constraints for mobile phone. Users can also use their own mobile phone to experience the PaS system to sense the environmental conditions immediately.
