A novel dual-wavelength fiber bragg grating

2005
We theoretically and experimentally demonstrate a novel dual-wavelength fiber Bragg grating fabricated using a double-exposure method. Our technique enables good control of the grating's reflectivity and separation of the two Bragg wavelengths. A grating with two equal transmission peaks of 20.5 dB is obtained with this method and the separation of the two Bragg wavelengths is about 0.8 nm. With this grating, an optical add-drop multiplexer (OADM) that allows dropping two fixed-wavelength channels is proposed. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
