2D equivalent networks of near-field imaging systems

2005
Two-dimensional equivalent LC networks are developed for recently proposed near-field imaging systems based on pairs of arrays of resonant inclusions. In such systems there are no regions of backward waves, instead, the amplification of evanescent waves is achieved purely due to polariton resonances on the surfaces of the arrays. The results of simulations in APLACtrade as well as of an analytical study are presented
