Extremsituationen während Sterilisationsvorgängen und deren Einfluß auf empfindliche Materialien in der Ophthalmochirurgie

Purpose Compared to other sterilization procedures, the H2O2-low-temperature plasma sterilization (LTP) allows the treatment of thermolabile materials, including microsurgical instruments and intraocular lenses. Up to now, toxical and metallurgical side effects were well known for these sterilization goods. This study was aimed to report about material changes in extreme situations during low-temperature plasma sterilization.
