Experimentation with the Finnish long-range trajectory and dispersion model (TRADOS)

The Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) maintains several short range and regional air pollution models and a long range transport model for air-borne radioactivity. The long range model TRADOS (TRajectory, Dispersion and dOSe model) is a Lagrangian Gaussian trajectory model having two separate modules: a three dimensional trajectory model and a radiological dose model. The dose model and the UNIX-based graphical user interface common to both modules are developed by the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT).
