Transparent conductive film and method for producing transparent conductive film

Provided are: a zinc oxide-based transparent conductive film which has excellent wet heat characteristics, while having excellent electrical conductivity; and a method for producing such a transparent conductive film. A transparent conductive film which is formed on a base and is mainly composed of zinc oxide and a method for producing the transparent conductive film, wherein the arithmetic mean roughness of the surface of the transparent conductive film as determined using a scanning probe microscope (SPM) in accordance with JIS B 0601 2001 is set to a value of 0.5 nm or less.
