Radar imaging superresolution

2011
A radar imaging superresolution (SRIR), the SRIR comprising: a generator (105) pulse signal; wherein the generator (105) pulse signal propagates N number of bursts (103) of radio frequency energy (RF); wherein each burst (103) contains M + 1 single pulse (135); wherein one of the single pulse (135) of each burst (130) is a secondary pulse (140), and the M remaining pulses of each burst (130) propagate toward an object of interest (145); a cube array detector (ABD) (110), wherein the ABD (110) collects the pulses (130) are reflected from the object (145); a processor, wherein the processor uses the secondary pulses, the properties of a virtual lens (115), and the properties of a detector virtual scanning (120) for calculating a virtual secondary electrical field, which would be present in the detector virtual scanning (120); wherein the secondary pulses (140) propagate through the virtual lens (115); and coincidence circuit (125), wherein the coincidence circuit (125) calculates the cross correlation function over time of the electric circuits of the reflected pulses that are collected by the ABD (110) and the virtual secondary electric field ; and wherein the matching circuit (125) uses the results of the cross correlation function over time to generate the pixels of an image of the object.
