URBAN FARMING PALNNING DEVELOPMENT OF HOUSEHOLD SCALE HYDROPONIC SYSTEMS IN URBAN AREA

Hydroponic system is a plant cultivation technique that is very suitable to be developed in urban areas because of its limitations. agricultural land. The main objective of this research is to analyze the planning for the development of a household-scale hydroponic system in urban areas, to analyze the electrical power required and the productivity of plants. The method used is a design made using three pumps that are operated with different time variations, the three pumps have the same specifications of 20 watts of electrical power, the pump life time is set using a digital timer that can be set according to need. Electrical power is measured using a multimeter.  Crop productivity was analyzed using analysis of variance with a randomized block design. The results of the research The design of a household-scale hydroponic system for urban areas using a pump system design with a pump operating time of 1 x 1 hour / day is very efficient with an energy cost value of 99.95% and an increase in plant productivity of 37.15%
